My Must Haves. Volume One.

Greetings from FL! It's beautiful here - but very humid. Which my hair hates, but my skin loves. Go figure. I realize when the summer comes, I rely heavily on several products.  I rely on products during the winter too, but being a person obsessed with taking care of my skin and curly headed makes the summer one tough season to handle! So I decided to share what I cannot live without from May - September (and sometimes beyond)...

Ouidad Climate Control Gel for Taming Unruly Curly Hair
Ouidad Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel

My miracle product!! Love this stuff!

Keeps my curls from going OOC. (as much as any product can)

This is the absolute BEST self-tanner I've found for believable color
Get this in "Dark."

This helps legs look smooth, with a hint of shimmer. Beautiful glow!

I break out very easily, and this sunscreen has never once caused me problems!
Nor does it leave a chalky, white finish.

I always put on lotion after my shower, but in the summer I switch to one with built in SPF.

I spend a lot of time in the sun, so I use this mask weekly to put moisture back into my hair.

Nars polish in Schiap - this color goes so well with a tan!

What are some of your favorite products to use during the summer? I'd love to hear from you on what works! xx

  2. Everyone raves about Moroccan Oil, but I'm hesitant as my hair gets greasy pretty quickly. I love Neutrogena SPF, too.

  3. Oh my God, that Moroccan Oil is the best. So annoyed because I left my last bottle somewhere in Argentina. Have to restock!

  4. Love, love, love Moroccan Oil! Anna Jane- my hair tends to get oily very fast, but the Moroccan Oil doesn't make it any more greasy, just gives it a nice shine. Does that make sense?
Wish I could use self tanner... I am soooo allergic. Immediate rash. It really stinks!

  5. MorroccanOil, YES! Lotion with SPF, YES! Neutrogena sunscreen, YES!

I'll have to try that self tanner... haven't even heard of it! Shocker! I'll have to try the Per-fekt body gel... I've used the face perfecting gel, but it made me break out :(

  8. Neutrogena and Philosophy are the only things I'll use on my face. I love bumble and bumble beach spray! I have a similar hair type and getting it to look presentable without a straight iron can be difficult and super annoying lol.

I'm def. going to check out the ouidad and moroccan oil!!

  12. Too funny that I was going to post about how I haven't tried Morrocan Oil and don't really get it thinking that I was the last person in the world to have tried it, but it seems like there's lots of us who haven't! this brand is the most talked about, it must be the best!

  14. Neutrogena sunscreen is the BEST for faces! Aside from my flatiron, a touch of Neutrogena bronzer is a major summer must for me!

  17. a few things. 1) I too love moroccan oil! Its the best. 2) Nice tip on the Ouidad gel. Might have to give that a try, as my hair too gets unruly in the heat. 3) so tell me more about this tanner... does it have that odor? does it streak? I'm pretty pale in general, but want a little boost. Would this be good to try?

  20. Okay, I (and apparently a LOT of other bloggers) have been hearing craploads about Moroccan Oil lately. What does it do?? I would love to try it but any oil makes my hair really greasy (I've tried coconut oil and almond oil). But hey, if so many people love it, it's worth a try I guess! :)

Love your list. I'm definitely going to try out those other products too!

  22. I use that Neutrogena sunscreen too! It's the only one I've found that feels light and non greasy with a really high SPF. I keep hearing great things about this Moroccan Oil, I might have to try it out sometime. I cannot live without my Tarte Cheek Stain during summer months.
