Rain or Shine.

Happy Monday everyone! In case you haven't heard, Nashville has suffered one of the worst floods in our recorded history! Last week, we were hit with rain that left many parts of our beautiful city underwater and around 20 people dead. However, we are called "The Volunteer State" for a reason. Over 7,000 people have signed up to volunteer their time, money, and supplies to help those affected by the flood. It's amazing to me how - in this extreme time of need - the people of Nashville are stepping up to help both those they know and love...and complete strangers. Please pray for the city and those who have lost everything.

After the flood waters had gone down and people were able to move about the city, the sun came out! Very thankful for the sunshine and warm weather, I had lunch with my best friend from childhood and went to drop off clothes for the flood victims. That evening, I had dinner with another good friend, then we went to see "A Chorus Line" at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. Fun day!

    So sad about all the flooding. I wish there was a way to send all that water to California. We've been in a drought for years.

    that's terrible about the flood! I read about it and for some reason so many natural disasters have been happening over the past years....
