Crazy weekend.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! First, let me say how THANKFUL and HAPPY I am to reach 67 followers!!! What a happy ending to a semi-stressful weekend! Thanks so much everyone for supporting my blog. I appreciate it from the bottom of me heart  :)

Last week, my honey got hurt playing baseball. I flew to Milwaukee a day later to see him. I'd never been to Milwaukee, and I didn't get to see much because of my short stay. I stayed at The Pfister Hotel, which was amazingly beautiful! It's supposedly haunted, but luckily I didn't experience anything to support that theory during my visit. I had a massage at the Well Spa, in the hotel. It was the most luxurious and best massage I've had in a while! When Chris was feeling up to walking outside, we went to lunch at Cubanitas. At the suggestion of a friend, we wandered around the corner to this lime green and bright orange restaurant. Even before we walked in, we could hear loud, trumpet-driven music from the sidewalk. I was already excited!

Pineapple Soda.

Plantains w/sea salt and vinegar & onion relish. Surprisingly soo yummy!

Sandwich Cubano. My new favorite sandwich!

Roasted pork, Virginia ham, Swiss Cheese, Dill pickle, and mustard-aioli spread. Classic.

Love. This. Place.

Look what came in the mail while I was gone! FINALLY!

Been waiting on this since Feb.

Got back yesterday to find Nashville - and most of West and Middle Tennessee - underwater. Please keep those that have been affected by the flood in your thoughts & prayers! Since most things were shut down - including many roads and Interstates, I stayed home...did wedding stuff...cleaned...watched E!...and cooked dinner. This dinner was something I'd seen here. Don't ask me why. I have never cooked chard. I don't usually eat meals without some sort of meat. But this recipe caught my eye...it looked so hearty, yet light at the same time. Let me just say... I abso-freakin-lutely LOVED it!!! Best of all, it was so easy to prepare. I promise.

One of my fave snacks, frozen grapes.

This is all you need for an amazing, filling meal!

Finished product.
